Celebrating 18 Years of Unlocking Potential
Since 1996, Eduloan has delivered
financial solutions to South Africans looking to further their education, no
matter the level of tuition. March 28, 2014 marks our 18th birthday,
allowing us to celebrate the more than 720 000 study loans to the value of over
R3.7 billion that we have awarded to South Africans looking to further their
education.
Eduloan remains the leading education finance
specialist offering loan solutions
to students – whether it is school, college, technicon or university. We understand
the real cost of education and because of this we extend loans to students who
require funds for textbooks,
accommodation, study-related equipment as well as laptops or tablets.
Fund
and bursary management has also evolved through the introduction of our
Eduxtras solution. We pioneered the smartcard solution – geared to help students
manage their bursary funds while the bursar has peace of mind that the funds
are being allocated and spent as intended. Funds are loaded into pockets for
accommodation, books, study-related equipment, food and tuition (or customised
pockets depending on what your bursar specified) and can only be spent on the
intended purpose.
In the past 18 years we have also
assisted employers by providing accessible education finance to their staff. Eduloan
has a long standing partnership with government and institutions which allows
government employees easier access to obtaining a loan. Similiarlee Eduloan has applied the same
model to corporates for their employees.
Dedicated to providing
educational finance and bursary fund administration solutions, we pride
ourselves on being the only financial company solely focused education.
We commit to innovate more
solutions to unlock even more potential in South Africa.

4 Reasons why it is a good idea to pay off your study loan by the time you graduate
At Eduloan we offer you a range of study loan solution to ensure that you tuition, accommodation, textbooks, a laptop and tablet and even your study related equipment. Our study loan repayments are generally made over a period of 10, 16 or 22 months. At Eduloan we believe that it is better for students to make arrangements with a sponsor who is working so that your loan and interest can be paid back by the time you start working, thereby freeing you of extended periods of debt, high interest rates and compound interest. We have five good reasons why it is a good idea to pay off your loan before you graduate!
No
Hidden Fees
Our loans have
fixed repayments – making it easy for you to budget since there won’t be
surprise increases.
Make
sure you start your career fresh… and debt free
Because you’re
starting out a new career and making a fresh start, we want you to have to
focus on building your skills and experience without being distracted by the
stress of budgeting for your study loan.
Other
debt
When you start
your working-life, you have other cost to consider like the cost of housing and
transport. Whether you are saving for a house or renting an apartment or a room
in a house-share, or whether you are saving up for your own pair of wheels –
the additional stress of a study loan repayment can mean that you might take a little longer to
get your dream home or wheels.

Dream bigger; the time is now!
What do famous people like Albert
Einstein, Walt Disney, Benjamin Franklin, William Tell, Mahatma Gandhi, Winston
Churchill, and Martin Luther King all have in common? We’d say a vision – a big
dream – fora better future. Every single one of these men dreamt big and had
passion to fuel their vision. Quite
frankly the time for back slackingis over and we need to step up.Everybody has
a purpose, all you need is vision.
Fear
however is why our dreams get lost in the clouds. If you do not believe in yourself,
you stop yourself from following your dreams. Where you come from should not
keep you from achieving your dreams!Make your dreams bigger than every fear of
failure in your life.
It is important to ask questions and to
find out the answers to the things you always wonder about. Remember you don’t
know what you don’t know. Build an army
of knowledge to fight for you and your dreams.
We have talked about setting
goals, these are all building blocks to
reach your dreams. Think of it as a way
of getting closer to your vision, your vision that will fuse passion to
eventually reach your dreams.
At Eduloan we believe in you and your
dream for the future. We are challenging
you to share your vision for the future with us and stand a chance to win a
voucher from Makro valued at R500 each. Now go on… dream as big as you possibly
can. There is nothing stopping you.

This month, Eduloan committed to assisting two students to
unlock even more potential on Jacaranda FM’s Good Morning Angels. Elphus Sibara
and Millicent Mokwape both received financial assistance from Eduloan to
support their dreams. Here are their stories…
Elphus Sibara
Elphus is a 22-year old young
man, carrying the hopes of his family on his shoulders. He is the eldest son of
five children, to an unemployed, single mother. With financial assistance from
the National Student Financial Aid Scheme, Elphus has completed the first two
years of his studies at the University of Limpopo. Elphus desperately wants to
assist rural communities to contribute to the agricultural sector.
(Please avoid usage of figures) Eduloan
has stepped in to assist Elphus with his outstanding balance so that he can
continue to work towards completing his studies and make a difference to his
family and his community’s lives.
